Curriculum Framework
Music
The General Music Programme is developed on the premise that all children are musical and have the innate ability to listen, sing, dance, play and express themselves musically. They learn music best through active participation in performing, listening and moving, and creating music. Learning experiences should therefore be musical experiences, harnessing their abilities, and tailored to their developmental stage.

Art
Students learn to see, express and appreciate through the four key components of the
Learning Content - context, artistic processes, media and visual qualities. In the process, students acquire knowledge, skills and values that equip them to be active artists and informed audiences.

DEPARTMENT PROGRAMME
Pupils learn through the Head, Heart & Hands approach:
Head- Artistic knowledge and skills (Cognitive)
Heart- Appreciating the Arts from global & local cultures (Affective)
Hands- Learn by doing (Hands-on authentic experiences)

Experiences
Primary 4 Museum Based Learning to National Gallery Singapore
The Aesthetics department organises a Museum Based Learning (MBL) experience for our Primary 4 pupils as part of our Art Curriculum every year. All Primary 4 pupils will have the opportunity to learn how to use the museum to experience and forge a personal connection with the exhibit, encourage curiosity and inculcate museum etiquette.

Extension programmes
Platforms for pupils with special interests to showcase their talents and be further developed. To build resilience in their artistic pursuits and build confidence in themselves.
